Providers at PSBH follow the immunization guidelines as established by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Immunizations are a very important part of your child’s health. They save lives. We strongly believe in the benefit of vaccines and recommend that our patients adhere to the established schedule published by the CDC and AAP.
Effective January 1, 2016, we will no longer accept new patients whose parents choose not to follow our vaccine policy and vaccinate on the recommended childhood vaccine schedule. We respect your choice as a parent. If you choose not to vaccinate on time, we ask that you find another provider who shares your same belief.
If you have any questions regarding vaccines, we would be happy to schedule an appointment to discuss them with you. Our primary goal is to keep your children healthy. Vaccinations are a key element in obtaining this goal.
Below is the CDC/AAP chart outlining the newest recommended schedule for immunizations as well as a link to the State of Michigan guidelines, information from the American Academy of Pediatrics, a QA sheet from the Center for Disease Control and our own recommendation sheet:
